Bark Quest is operated by The Dog Training School in the United Kingdom.

This page is for Bark Quest users who want to request deletion of their Bark Quest account and the personal information and associated data linked to that account.

1. HOW TO REQUEST DELETION

You can request deletion by:

- completing the Bark Quest Account & Data Deletion form on this page; or
- emailing info@thedogschool101.co.uk.

Please give us enough information to identify the Bark Quest account, normally:
- the email address used to sign in to Bark Quest;
- your dog’s name, if you added one;
- any other brief information needed to identify the account or public Bark Quest result.

Please do not send your password or payment-card details.

We may contact you if we reasonably need additional information to verify the account or locate data linked to it.

2. WHAT A FULL ACCOUNT-DELETION REQUEST DELETES

When a full account-deletion request is processed, we delete the Bark Quest account and associated personal data linked to that account where applicable, including:

- Firebase Authentication account information;
- Bark Quest player/profile information;
- dog profile information;
- uploaded dog profile photos;
- quest preferences and free-text quest suggestions linked to the account;
- newsletter/marketing subscriber information linked to the account, subject to any minimal opt-out record that must be retained;
- quest progress;
- rewards and badges;
- quest-completion records;
- share-event records;
- Wall of Fame posts;
- leaderboard entries;
- uploaded Wall of Fame or result photos;
- public Bark Quest result pages linked to the account.

3. PUBLIC CONTENT

A full account-and-data deletion request includes removal of Bark Quest Wall of Fame posts, leaderboard entries and public result pages linked to the account where applicable.

If you do not want to delete your whole Bark Quest account and only want a particular public item removed, state this clearly in your request.

4. DATA WE MAY NEED TO KEEP

We may retain limited information where there is a legitimate need or legal requirement, for example:

- security or fraud-prevention records;
- records required by law;
- information needed for dispute resolution;
- a minimal record needed to honour and demonstrate a marketing opt-out.

Any information retained for one of these reasons will not be kept for unrelated purposes.

Anonymous or aggregated statistics that cannot reasonably be linked back to you may remain.

5. TECHNICAL SERVICE DATA

Some technical, diagnostic or security data processed by service providers may not be directly linked to your Bark Quest account and may be retained for the provider’s applicable technical retention period.

Where data held by a service provider is associated with and deletable as part of your Bark Quest account, we will take the steps reasonably required to have that associated data deleted.

6. HOW LONG DELETION TAKES

We aim to process account-and-data deletion requests without undue delay and within one month.

If we need information from you to verify or identify the account, the request may take longer while we wait for that information.

7. UNINSTALLING THE APP

Deleting or uninstalling Bark Quest from your device does not automatically delete your Bark Quest account or data stored in cloud services.
